Frequently Asked Questions

Can you tell me how much it will cost to fix/paint/restore my car?

Great question! While we can give a rough estimate, so many things can influence that number. Finding rust (and properly dealing with it) is one of the more common issues we run across.  The cost of your project is based on labor hours, parts & materials, and outside professional resources (such as interior work, mechanical/motor work). We trust the few local professional services we use to always work with the same respect, quality and care that we put into working on your car. We assure you that communication about any issues we encounter is forefront in the decision-making process, and we will respect your project budget.

What kind of replacement parts will you put on my car?

The best possible option. Whenever your original parts are not salvageable for your project, we only source parts from reputable parts dealers and suppliers. Each part is inspected, and modified if necessary, to ensure its quality and perfect fit.

What kind of deposit is expected when I drop off my project and how does billing work?

Glad you asked. Our policy is not to collect a down payment when you bring us your car. We work together to come up with a plan of action based on your desired project goals and talk about a payment schedule that works for everyone. Typically, we work with a bimonthly payment schedule. It's very transparent; you pay for work we've done after we've done it. Your payment schedule is part of the initial consultation, as well as a plan of action and outline of the expected work. With a large parts order we may ask for a deposit.

How long will my project take?

Most projects take 6-9 months; the amount of work needed on your car dictates the time it takes to complete the job as well as availability of parts and shipping slowdowns. We assure you your car is being worked on regularly and a log sheet is kept for tracking labor hours and tasks.

When can I see the progress on my project?

You can come see your vehicle anytime during our normal operating hours. We understand you are putting a lot of trust in us, and we will handle your project with care and respect. We encourage customers to make regular trips to the shop in person to see the progress of your dream car unfold.
